Typical end products are tubing and other components for heat exchangers and for applications in the chemical industry. Extrudability is equivalent to that of AA6063. 31226 is often used in a cold drawn condition and can be readily furnaced or flamebrazed. |
3102 |
General Purpose |
For applications where corrosion resistance and/ or formability are important qualities. Typical end products are tubing and other components for heat exchangers and it is particularly suited for microport extrusions. 30016 has lower strength than AA3003, but has superior extrudability and can be readily furnaced or flame brazed. |
3130 |
Long Life Alloy |
For applications where enhanced pitting corrosion resistance and good ASTM G83 SWAAT performance is required. Typical end products are non-brazed heat exchanger tubing applications and automotive and non-brazed HVAC applications. 30700 has mechanical properties similar to AA3102 with superior extrudability and end product quality. |

For brazed applications, such as HVAC applications, where excellent corrosion resistance and superior ASTM G85A3 SWAAT performance is required. 31107 is more extrudable and more cost effective than 31101 and 31104. |
